VM with Multiple NICs

Hello,
Couldn't find the forum for networking, so putting it here and hopefully I can get some guidance on this.

We are having an auditor do some network testing on our Azure environment.
Current set up of our Environment has:
Backend Vnet (address space 10.51.0.0/24)- attached Subnet = 10.51.0.128/25
Frontend Vnet (address space 10.50.0.0/24) - attached subnet = 10.50.0.128/25

So I want to do a Vnet, call it Office (10.53.0.0/24 and subnet 10.53.0.128/25) and resource group Office.
Build the auditors VM in that resource group, so this way the auditors can access their VM
Then I want to create two NICs and add to their VM.

One NIC in Backend and one in Frontend
But when I do it in PS, I get the error:
Update-AzVM : Subnet Backend-SN referenced by resource is not in the same Virtual Network
as the subnets of other VMs in the availability set.
ErrorCode: SubnetsNotInSameVnet

Is there a way to do this, with how my Azure environment is currently built?
I can't tear everything down and re-do it.....unless there is a way to move all the subnets to one Vnet.
But I have other VMs and network interfaces attached to the subnets.
