I have a VM that I am suddenly unable to connect to over RDP.
The machine is connected to a virtual network that is connected to my local network over a site to site VPN.
I was previously able to RDP using both the public endpoint and over the VPN tunnel. I can still connect to other machines over the VPN so I know the VPN is working. I also cannot ping the machine from another Azure VM on the same subnet in my Azure virtual network
I have tried the various troubleshooting steps around restarting and resizing the VM. None of which has helped. I have not yet tried deleting the VM and trying to reattach the disks.
I would normally shrug it off and rebuild the machine but it is a domain controller and I'd rather not have to go through the process of removing a failed domain controller.
As a further troubleshooting step I downloaded the VHDs to try and run them locally in Hyper-V to see what is going on in the console window there. The machine starts and blue screens with error 0xc00002e2 but I am not sure if this related or just an issue with migrating from Azure to Hyper-V
Can anyone assist? Thank you in advance.
Tom
