Greetings!

I am having a problem with my portal login. I receive this:

Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in.

AADSTS90033: Service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry later.
Request Id: b707840c-c16d-4976-a76f-ff8ceafb0400
Correlation Id: 2e381679-54f6-4143-84c8-5ff97af46af9
Timestamp: 2018-07-13T22:23:55Z
Message: AADSTS90033: Service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry later.
Advanced diagnostics:

If you plan on getting support for an issue, turn this on and try to reproduce the error. This will collect additional information that will help troubleshoot the issue.

(Sorry this account is new and they won't let me upload the image or a link... dumb)

I started getting this error after I had created an Azure B2C Directory. I was able to get the directory assigned to my subscription but I can no longer login.

I AM able to login using the preview.portal.azure url and I can manipulate my services. Any idea why I cannot login to the main portal.azure.com url?

PS - I have since removed the B2C directory hoping that was the issue... but I cannot login to the main site any longer =(

Thanks!

Mark

We recently changed one of our applications’ SSL certificate. We made our code changes and updated service with the new certificate information. However, the authentication is failing with below error, it is still referring to the old thumbprint, which we couldn’t find anywhere in the code and in the service too.  Is there any place where I missed updating new certificate details?

Error :

AADSTS70002: Error validating credentials. AADSTS50012: Client assertion contains an invalid signature. [Reason - The key was not found.

How to Add "Azure Information Protection"?

Hi,

I just signup Azure Pay as you Go subscription. Then try to add “Azure Information Protection” by following the instructions in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/information-protection/configure-policy#to-access-the-azure-information-protection-blade-for-the-first-time . However, I get an error message said “We could not find a license for your tenant to use Azure Information Protection. To open the Azure Information Protection admin portal, you must have Azure Information Protection Premium P1 (included within Enterprise Mobility and Security E3) or Azure Information Protection Premium P2 (included within Enterprise Mobility and Security E5). Or, an Office 365 subscription that includes Azure Rights Management.”.

Then I try to subscribe an Office 365 free trial, and then try again, but still fails. Why?

Thanks

Sorry, the portal took a long time to load. Click 'Try again' to reload.
Looks like something went wrong

I tried to clear cookies then reload and open portal in safari private window, won't work.

Safari version 11.1.1 (13605.2.8), macOS version 10.13.5 (17F77).

Other Microsoft website works fine, like outlook.

Portal works fine on my iOS safari browser in the same network.

Why Azure Information Protection Client Requires Global Admin's Login Details?

Hi,

I am learning Azure Information Protection. I am following the quick tutorial at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/information-protection/infoprotect-quick-start-tutorial .

In step 3, after installing the client, the tutorial says “If you are prompted to enter your user name and password, enter the details for your global administrator account.”. But I think that is not in the correct logic. The global administrator is the manager of the whole company. While each employee in the company should install Client in their own computer. Therefore, the client should NOT know the password of the global administrator account. Otherwise, each employee will become global administrator and the information protection is meaningless.

Thanks for any advice on my opinion.

Cannot Label a File with Azure Information Protection

Hi,

I am learning Azure Information Protection. I am following the quick tutorial at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/information-protection/infoprotect-quick-start-tutorial .

In step 4, in the sub topic “To see a recommendation prompt for labeling and automatic protection” at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/information-protection/infoprotect-tutorial-step4#to-see-a-recommendation-prompt-for-labeling-and-automatic-protection , when I try to click “Change Now” button, I will get an error message “Azure Information Protection cannot apply this label. If this problem persists, contact your administrator or help desk.”. I try many times and always get this error.

I follow all steps in the tutorial and all ones before this step are completed successfully. But this one always fails.

Please help.

Azure Alerting / Monitoring best practices

Hello -

I'm reaching out to the community looking for input on alerting and monitoring best practices in Azure.  I understand there are uniquenesses within apps and use cases that would make these not so easy to standardize but assume there's a starting point out there to work from.

Just for some background...  The team I work on supports internal Azure dev teams that have their own app monitoring (eg. App Insights, App Dynamics, etc.) and should be aware of application health.  In addition we feel it's also important to have notifications set so the cloud support team gets a heads up if there's a runaway or critical resource issue as an added failsafe.

If anyone has info to share or good resources you've found please comment.  I've got a simple program we've used to help define basic rules and deploy alerts to resource provider types in Azure.  It's @ https://github.com/azurepractice/alerts

Any additional info would be welcome!

Thanks!

Receive code from mobile app instead of text on phone

I would like to reset my VPN access so that I access the code provided by my mobile app instead of receiving the number from a text message on my iphone.  I think that I need to begin the enrollment process so that I can re-set up my VPN authentication and choose the mobile app in step 1.  How do I do this?  If i go to https://aka.ms/mfasetup, i automatically receive a text message containing the access code.

Azure Monitor - Global alert not based on any resource type

$

Hi Everyone,

I now have a new requirement in my task. And I am not sure it is doable for the documentation about Azure Monitor only shows alerts based on Subscription and Resource Type.

My new requirement is to create an alert that is not tied up into a specific resource type. For example, an alert that will activate whenever a new resource (app service, cosmos db, resource group, application insights, etc..) is created. A universal alert for all creation logs. Is this possible, since multiple criteria is not yet supported?

Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks In advance.

Is it possible to assign a specific Intune policy to a specific device?

We are a small business and have a mix of devices, where some support secure boot, and others do not.

Is it possible to assign an Intune compliance policy to a specific device?   For example,  Workstation-001 does not support Secure Boot, but Laptop-001 does, therefore, I'd like to assign a compliance policy just to Workstation-001 that says Secure Boot is not required, and assign another policy to Laptop-001 that says Secure Boot is required.

If this is not possible, are there any suggestions on how to accomplish what I'm trying to accomplish?   Force Secure Boot if the device supports it?

Thanks!

Creating users using DSC in Azure AD that comes with subscription from powershell

$

Hi all,

I want to create a set of users within my Azure subscription. I will use these users later as accounts with specific rights on automatic generated resource groups via DSC. I managed to create the users directly via PowerShell into the AD that comes with the subscription. I want this script to be able to run within any subscription. I want the script ONLY to manage the specific set of users and roles mentioned in my script any other users must be kept. Most importantly; the owner account of the subscription must remain unchanged.

In most Azure resources it is possible to go to the 'Automation' blade and copy the json that can be used for DSC. With the AD that comes with the subscription this does not seem possible, not for the AD as a whole, nor for the parts of the users or groups.

I was wondering what would happen if a create a DSC script for that specific AD and only supply the set of users and roles that I need to exist. Will it delete all other users? I'm a bit scared to try it out with my subscription :S

Thanks in advance,

Martijn
