DNS problems with SSL

Ok here it is.

My Web Role only has an SSL endpoint.

I can connect to my site if I write https://domain.com

If I write domain.com -> it does not work and if I write www.domain.com it also does not work. (I am assuming these are heading off to port 80) Not sure how to force it to port 443.

domain.com has a Type A to the Azure service IP address

www.domain.com has a Type CNAME to domain.com

In Windows Azure Portal the site URL is a http entry with an endpoint like this

Input Endpoints
WebSite:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:443

So,

1) Shouldn't the Azure portal show a HTTPS: site url and not a http: ??

2) How to force every connection domain.com & www.domain.com to be redirected to port 443 (even if the End User enters http:///domain.com) ?

Finally,

Thanks guys and gals.
