How to Resolve an Active Alert

I created an alert for a VM that triggers when network output is than 100MB over a 60 minute period. The alert became active a few days ago. The network output has now been above the limit again for over a day. Should the alert automatically resolve now? Do I have to do something to resolve it? Thanks!
