Virtual machines connected on the same network and with other network resources

Hi,

I want to create some virtual machines and connected to a virtual appliance that is on the markteplace.

For all virtual machines to communicate on the same network I have to use the same virtual network.

What is the good practice for organizing these VMs?

1- Do I create a resource group for each role and keep each VM in these resource groups? Is creating too many resource groups bad too?

2 - I create a resource group only for virtual networks and when I create the VMs do I connect to that resource group?
