Basically, we have a one way sync from onsite to Office365. The issue is with only one user. In Office365 there two users with the same name. I'm not really sure how the other user was created because it's not in a format that we would use.
The user name is Tim Lee. The sync error is telling me that tlee has a duplicate UserPrincipalName conflict.
- UserPrincipalName: tlee@domain.org
- UserPrincipalName: tlee288607@domain.org
The first one is the correct one. The second one (tlee288607) I have NO idea how that was created. If I try and delete the second ne (tlee288607) I am prompted with "Couldn’t delete this user because the account is synchronized with your on-premises servers. You can delete the user from your on-premises server."
If I go into my on-premise Active Directory, I can't find that user to even delete it. It's like stuck meta data somewhere. How can I delete this?
