I'm new to Azure and not at all familiar with the various methods of publishing to Azure via Git, etc. I belong to the old school of plain old IIS folder structures and uploading HTML files to Inetpub directory for deploying web contents.
I have created an Azure web site at http://mysite.azurewebsites.net and have added a CNAME record on our DNS server to redirect traffic from www.mydomain.com to mysite.azurewebsites.net but to no avail. I have downloaded and installed the Azure PowerShell but can't seem to do anything with it. Any advice on how to configure the custom domain name for my azure web site as well as how to deploy contents to it, preferrably the old school way, would be much appreciated.
