After a Site recovery failover I am unable to RDP and was able to RDP before failover initiated. The test failover worked fine with no errors. The NSG has RDP enabled at the highest priority.
Error: Remote Desktop cannot connect:
1)remove access is not enabled.
2)remote computer is turned off.
3)the remove computer is not available on the network.
After checking the VM I noticed the NIC on the original VM had a public IP provided while the failover VM's NIC did not have a public IP. How can I add a new public IP recovery site failover VM? Could this be the cause of the unable to RDP? Note I am using a free pay as you use account so I am RDP from the internet and my workstation which is my RDP source.
What is going on? What can I check? How can this be fixed? Do I have to click the "commit" button?
