I was attempting to move one single storage account which contains my VHD files from a previous VM to another primary Resource Group which also contains my new VM with D2_V2 size. I chose Change Resource Group in the Essentials Overview blade of my classic storage account and waited for approx. one hour. After having a chat with @AzureSupport on Twitter I made sure that
- 'Only one storage account (classic) can be moved at a time.' and
- 'Storage account (classic) cannot be moved in the same operation with a virtual machine or a cloud service.'
do apply to my current operation. After waiting even longer I checked back to Azure Portal and I didn't saw the purple 'Moving Resources' banner on the Storage blade anymore and my Storage Account still remains on the old Resource Group instead in the new Resource Group, it probably timed out by an unknown error.
My primary Resource Group doesn't contain any resources by now, my source Storage Account Resource Group just contains the Storage Account itself.
Is there any workaround available to resolve this issue?
