Static ip for classic vm

Hi:

Is there a way for me to assign a STATIC PUBLIC ip address to a vm (classic) using the azure management portal?  The only search results I get is to use scripting.  But I assume there must be a way to do this from the management portal.  I can do it for the new vms but so far I cant figure out to do it for the classic vms.  (I need to use classic VMs because there is no way to take a snapshot of the new resource manager based VMs.)
